Saint Katharine Drexel Memorial Garden
at Bloomfield-Clemson
Amid the quiet hills and gentle trees of Bloomfield Clemson, the Memorial Garden at Saint Katharine Drexel offers a sacred place of rest and remembrance—a space where beauty, faith, and love come together in stillness.
Rooted in Christian tradition and open to all, our garden welcomes every soul seeking a place of lasting peace. For Catholic families, it may bring comfort to know that the Church not only permits cremation but encourages that cremated remains be laid to rest with reverence—buried in the earth or placed within a sacred columbarium, where prayers and remembrance endure.
Consecrated in 2024, the Memorial Garden continues a timeless legacy of devotion and care. The land itself holds centuries of life and memory—families, farmers, and veterans who once walked these fields. Today, it has been lovingly renewed into a place of extraordinary natural beauty: welcoming walking paths, flowering trees, and quiet spaces for reflection. Here, each resting place becomes part of a living landscape, where history, faith, and serenity intertwine.
Two peaceful paths of interment are available:
- Columbarium Niches – Graceful, above-ground spaces offering a lasting and dignified home for cremated remains.
- Natural Burial Spaces – Peaceful, biodegradable urns nestled gently into the earth, returning one’s spirit to creation in the most natural and beautiful way.
Every resting place is cared for in perpetuity, ensuring the garden’s beauty will be tended and preserved for generations to come.
Walk its paths. Listen to the stillness. Feel the peace that surrounds this sacred ground.
