Dear Friends in Christ,
Well, it has now officially been a month since I became the pastor of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and just want to say it has been wonderful. I hope I’m not being too forward, but I really like you and look forward to seeing where this relationship takes us. We have shared many sacred and many social meals together. I’ve met your kids and your parents and I’m all in. You are unlike any parish I have ever met, and I know I have so much more to learn about you, but I’m excited about our relationship.
As the last summer month ends, we will have even more time to spend together. I can’t wait to get to know you and your family more during school and faith formation (which is now open for registration). I look forward to cheering with you for them in performances and sports. Go Knights, Gators, Eagles, Vikings, Mustangs, Lions, Patriots, Titans, Cadets, Orioles, Wildcats, and Pretzels (that last mascot is the one I made up for SKD)!
I hope we can do many fun things together and grow in our faith through all kinds of activities. I was wondering if I could ask you to attend a fun evening together with me on the 17th of August at 6:30pm. It is the Inclusion Project Concert right here at Church, it should be a lot of fun and we can hang out. Will you join me? We should think about going steady or changing our Facebook status. Again, it has only been a month, but I really like you and I’m looking forward to getting to know you even better. God Love you!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
