During Lent this year, we are reflecting on various ways God can always be ‘Enlightening Our Hearts’ and lifting us above the daily struggles we face. This enlightening happens as we more fully unite ourselves with God’s love. One of the ways we discover deeper union with the divine is through worship. And so, this Lent we’re taking a deeper look at Catholic Worship: ‘What We Do and Why We Do It.’ In addition to a weekly bulletin insert, each Friday a link will be offered to a brief YouTube video that can deepen your understanding of both the basic and more esoteric elements of the Mass. Hopefully, by entering more deeply into the liturgical ritual we celebrate, we can also deepen the progression of our union with God.
