New for this year, we have two fundraisers for our parish – SKD ornaments and calendars are available in the narthex over the next two weekends..  In addition, our Christmas Basket program that benefits inner city families in Baltimore is wrapping up for the year – deadline to make your donation is Sunday 12 December.

Twas two weeks before Christmas

And all through the church

The people were buying

Their SKD merch.

Into the narthex

To the table they flew

Buying an ornament

Before hitting the pew.

Crystal and sparkling

As an ornament can be

With our church image designed

By the artist Yemi.

Calendars were bought

As a gift or for themselves

Some were for their walls

And others for their shelves.

With scenes of the church

In winter and spring

A daily reminder

Of our beautiful building.

But SKD Christmas

Would not be complete

Without giving to those

Who are in so much need.

The program we sponsor

For many a year

Brings families in the city

Some holiday cheer.

By donating money,

For gifts and for food,

You’ll know for certain

You’ve done something good.
