       The Katharine Konnection

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

After a little hiatus, I am happy to present another Katharine Konnection video below.  The video is a (hopefully) humorous introduction to Electronic Giving for those who have not enrolled with Faith Direct, our online giving vendor.  Even if you have enrolled, I hope that you will view the video below and that it brings you a smile.

If you are contributing to Saint Katharine Drexel using Faith Direct, I thank you for your consistent and generous stewardship. In the chart below you can see the increase in our annual offertory over the past six years, in both total dollars donated and number of parishioners participating.  In 2016, our annual collections were $314,000 from 207 parishioners.  In 2021, the total was $468,000 from 314 parishioners.  This is a tremendous increase in participation.

However, the amount donated per parishioner over these six years has stayed static at approximately $125 per family per month.

If you are currently contributing to Saint Katharine Drexel, whether by check, cash or electronic giving, THANK YOU for your faithful generosity. Especially with electronic giving, it can be easy to, in the words of Ron Popeil “Set it and forget it!”  But if each family reviews and adjusts their level of giving every year or two, it can help our parish to continue to meet our mission.  

So if you have been donating at the same level over the past several years and have the ability to increase your donation to Saint Katharine Drexel, please consider doing so.  As Thanksgiving approaches and we recognize all that we have for which to be grateful, your generosity is something that Father Keith and the SKD Staff include in our prayers of gratitude.
