Dear Parishioners,
November is the month we remember the faithfully departed. It has been a long-standing tradition that the end of the harvest season and start of winter are marked through festivals and celebrations. The Catholic church celebrates All Saints Day 1 November and All Souls Day 2 November.
At Saint Katharine’s, we remember our loved ones who have died in the past year with a Memorial Mass and Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.
Our annual Memorial Mass is scheduled for Thursday 4 November 2021 at 7:00 PM. Invitations to the Mass have been mailed to parishioners who we know have experienced a loss within the past year. If you did not receive an invitation and would like to remember a loved one at the Memorial Mass, please contact me at theresa.anderson@saintdrexel.org by Tuesday 2 November 2021. We ask that you be present at the Mass to have a name read.
The Memorial Mass will be live streamed. Family and friends who are unable to attend can access the live stream on our YouTube channel or by CLICKING HERE.
We will have a small reception following the Memorial Mass on Thursday 4 November. If you are able to provide baked goods for the reception, please use this Sign-up Genius link. To comply with COVID guidelines all baked goods must be prepackaged. More details are in the sign up.
