       The Katharine Konnection

Meet the winners of the 2021 Drexel Essay High School Scholarship!  Both of their essays were so well-done that the judges declared a tie this year.

Their winning essays are attached.

Josie is currently a junior at Governor Thomas Johnson High School and will attend the Career & Technology Center for Cosmetology. She has been a life-long parishioner of Saint Katharine Drexel parish.  Josie works part-time at the Glory Days Grill.  In her spare time, she plays lacrosse.  She hopes to study International Business in college.  Click HERE for her essay.

    Ernest Binfon, Jr.

Ernest is a freshman at Urbana High School and was a 2020 graduate of Saint John Regional Catholic School.  Math is his favorite school subject, but he also enjoys learning new things.  In his free time, Ernest plays soccer for FC Frederick, reads and plays the piano. He hopes to someday become a biomedical engineer.  Click HERE for his essay.
