Mia’s essay “Education: A Necessity of Human Decency” was chosen by the judges to receive the $1,000 Drexel Essay college scholarship. Mia is a senior at Frederick High School and is attending Johns Hopkins University next year, where she will have a double major in Economics and Chinese, with a minor in Latin American Studies. Mia speaks four languages, loves travel, good food and artisanal coffee and is a lector at our parish.
