Saint Katharine Drexel Parish pledges to be a Eucharist-centered, welcoming community, forming loving disciples, giving selflessly, in realization of the Kingdom of God.

Pastor’s Welcome

Our parish Mission Statement presents us with an exciting and daunting challenge: to form a modern Christian community in an ancient faith– to become the Living Body of Christ in a secular society– to embody a Catholic tradition in a pluralistic world. Thanks be to God that the Holy Spirit is promised to us for strength and guidance.

We have an inspiring role model in Katharine Drexel. She is recognized as a saint because she was a woman of worldly wealth who embodied Christ and the Catholic tradition for the poor, the outcast, and the forgotten of society during the 20th century. Our task as a faith community is to discern how we will do the same during the 21st century.

Together as a parish, we are charting a course to follow Christ as Katharine did. Following her example, it is in worship and prayer that we discover strength for the journey. It is a privilege for me to lead you on that pilgrimage of faith. If you are looking for a spiritual home, we hope that you will consider joining us!

Fifth Sunday of Easter

Each year during Lent, all parish households are invited to participate in the Lenten Rice Bowl program, which supports the work of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) around the world.  Unfortunately, weekend Masses were cancelled just after Lent began this year, limiting...

Fourth Sunday of Easter

This past week I “celebrated” the 41st anniversary of my ordination as a priest on Tuesday.  It’s a strange celebration when you are by yourself all day—even stranger when you reflect that priests are ordained to minister and be with people—something that none of us...

Third Sunday of Easter

I want to thank so many of you for all the positive response our parish staff has received for the weekend liturgical resources and daily Katharine Konnection outreach we have been providing.  As you have probably noticed, our weekend liturgical resources keep...
