The Frederick School of Religion has been in operation for over thirty-five years, offering an adult opportunity to continue learning about religion in an ecumenical atmosphere. We are blessed to have such a service available in this area, held this year at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation (Elmer Derr Road). More information (and a registration form) is included in this bulletin.
Please take note that when Frederick County schools are cancelled for snow, there will be no weekday Mass. When schools are opening late, we do have weekday Mass, but when schools are closed because of snow, it generally indicates the streets are less-than-safe for driving. This policy brings clarity as to whether or not weekday Mass will be celebrated, and also attempts to keep parishioners safe.
To assist in your income tax preparation, we will soon be mailing out financial statements to all registered households from which we received recordable income during 2019. If you do not receive your statement (or have any questions about your statement), please contact our Director of Parish Operations, Pat O’Connor in the parish office.
Catholic Schools Week will be observed at our parish next Sunday at the 11:00 AM Mass, and children from various Catholic Schools will be serving in many of the ministries at that Mass. All Catholic School students are also reminded to wear their uniforms to Mass next weekend.
The Catholic Advocacy Network is an easy way for you to get involved in the work of the Maryland General Assembly during their session over the next three months. The network sends you e-mail alerts when legislation is pending, and even drafts a suggested response for you (which you can modify to reflect your opinion) to send to your representatives. You can sign up on-line using the information provided elsewhere in this bulletin.
