Our annual Ministry Fair is taking place next weekend after all the Masses. Those ministries in need of new volunteers will be setting up displays in the narthex so that each parishioner might find a way to serve our faith community with their particular gifts and talents. Please plan to visit the displays after Mass and discover how you might serve.
Funding for a number of Frederick County service organizations was cut from the county budget several years ago, and the annual Unity Campaign was creatively started to help fill the gap. The Frederick Unity Campaign will run until 22 September. You can choose the service organization you wish to support, all of which are listed on the flyer included in this bulletin. Our Saint Vincent de Paul Society is very grateful for the support they receive for their work among the poor if you choose that designation.
In two weeks our Together Growing in Faith (TGIF) faith formation program gets started for the fall season. Being formed in God’s image is a life-long endeavor, and our mission as a parish is to support you in that effort, whether you are seven or seventy. You are invited to join your fellow parishioners in continuing faith formation through the various programs being offered. Please pick up one of the Faith Formation brochures from the Welcome Center in the narthex to see what’s available this fall.
As you heard before Mass this weekend, we are beginning a new electronic giving program in October called “Faith Direct”. This program allows you to manage your own contributions online, without having to submit any forms to the parish office (although you can still submit a form if you prefer.) You will also be able to do all collections in this manner, unlike our present system. Whether or not you are currently an electronic giver, please review the information about this new program on the “Faith Direct” bulletin insert this weekend.
